Service is a central part of our vision and mission, and we recognize it as a central tenet of our Christian faith. We offer service opportunities for children, youth and those young at heart. We’re always looking for new opportunities to serve our community and our world. If you don’t see something on our list that you’re passionate about, let us know. Many members of Bethany serve on departments that help sustain and contribute to the rich life of our church. Department chairs welcome your ideas and involvement. Service opportunities include:

 

• C.A.R.I.T.A.S (a ministry that provides shelter and food for the homeless)

• tutoring and mentoring at Redd Elementary School

• blanket Sundays

• providing music and communion at nursing homes during Christmas

• making cookies for the homebound and homeless

• clothing, book and toy drives

• gifts for FeedMore

• canned food collection for Bainbridge Community Center, a local food pantry

• Souper Bowl of Caring
